Nutro Premium Dog Food Recall

Nutro Pet Food has issued a voluntary withdrawal of select pet foods due to the possibility of plastic pieces in bags of kibble. There are three specific puppy foods affected including;

Nutro Natural Choice Chicken, Rice & Oatmeal Puppy in 5 lb. bag
Nutro Ultra Puppy in 4.5 Lb. bags
Nutro Ultra Puppy 30 Lb.

All of the kibble in this voluntary withdrawal was apparently packaged for PetSmart or Petco and sold in these stores exclusively. They have a best by date of 9-10-10. No other Nutro products are affected.

Nutro apparently confirmed that while there is no issue with the food itself, there is a possibility that in these limited products there may be foreign bodies present in the form of pieces of plastic.

If you have purchased any of the above products from PetSmart or PetCo, please note the best by date on the package and return it to the store from which you bought it.
